Whether Zugspitze, Machu Pichu or Kilimanjaro, we always want to have something to nibble with when hiking. Here at 3Bears we love healthy snacks that are also wonderfully delicious. Following our recipe for salted caramel energy bars , there are now not one, not two, but three more snack recipes fresh from the bear cave that are perfect for hiking and trips into the countryside.
We prepared all of our oat creations without dairy products. This means the oats stay fresh longer, even if you take them with you in your backpack. Preparation is super easy, enjoying on the go is even easier!

Nutty mountaineer oats
Ingredients
10 minutes | 1 serving
- 40g 3Bears Porridge Cinnamon Apple
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 100ml oat milk
For the topping
- 200g soy yogurt (unsweetened)
- 1 tbsp cashew butter
- 1 tbsp sesame
- Optional: cashews, strawberries and blackberries
preparation
- Mix the porridge with chia seeds and milk in an overnight oats glass .
- Put the lid on, put it in the fridge and let it soak overnight (at least 6 hours).
- The next day, mix soy yogurt with cashew butter and sesame.
- Open the overnight oats jars, top with the nutty yogurt and garnish with cashews, strawberries and blackberries if desired.
Summer freshness in a glass
Ingredients
10 minutes | 2 servings
- 50g 3Bears Porridge Fruity Coconut
- 100ml coconut milk
For the topping
- ½ mango in small pieces
- 100g blueberries
- 50g red currants
- Juice of half a lemon
- Optional: puffed amaranth, coconut chips
preparation
- Mix the porridge with coconut milk in anovernight oats glass .
- Put the lid on, put it in the fridge and let it soak overnight (at least 6 hours).
- The next day, mix the berries and mango with lemon juice into a fruit salad.
- Top the overnight oats with the fresh fruit salad and garnish with amaranth and coconut chips if desired.
Hiking Energy Granola
And to nibble on in between: granola from a jar that stays fresh!
Ingredients
10 minutes | 2 servings
- 100g 3Bears Porridge A hearty classic
- 50g seed mixture (pumpkin seed, sesame, sunflower seeds)
- 50g chopped almonds
- 50g chopped pecans
- 20 puffed amaranth
- 1 teaspoon paprika powder
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp agave syrup
- 2 tsp sesame oil
preparation
- Mix the porridge, seed mixture, nuts and amaranth in a large bowl.
- Mix the peppers, soy sauce, agave syrup and sesame oil.
- Now mix the dry mixture with the dressing and spread generously on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Roast in the oven at 175 degrees for about 10-15 minutes.
- Allow to cool and then pour into the overnight oats jars .
